What is 1 lot on Delta Exchange?
PerpScale · Updated · how we check numbers
In short
On Delta Exchange India, a lot (one contract) is a fixed amount of the underlying asset, and it differs by contract: 0.001 BTC on BTCUSD, 0.01 ETH on ETHUSD and 1 SOL on SOLUSD. Your position in coins is lots × lot size, so 100 BTCUSD lots = 0.1 BTC. A lot's value moves with the price: at $100,000 per BTC one BTCUSD lot is worth $100 (₹8,500.00 at ₹85/$). Orders are in whole lots, so one lot is the smallest position you can open.
What a lot means on Delta
Delta Exchange quotes futures in contracts, which traders call lots. Each contract stands for a fixed quantity of the coin — its contract value, or lot size. You can only trade whole lots.
coins = lots × lot size lots = coins ÷ lot size value (USD) = coins × price value (₹) = value (USD) × 85
Example: 0.05 BTC on BTCUSD is 0.05 ÷ 0.001 = 50 lots.

How many lots should you trade?
The lot size tells you what one lot is, not how many to open. The safe way to choose is from the loss at your stop: divide the rupees you are willing to lose by what one lot loses at the stop, fees and GST included, and round down. The lot size calculator does exactly that.
