In short

Delta Exchange India charges a trading fee on each leg's notional value (lots × contract size × price): 0.05% as taker, 0.02% as maker, plus 18% GST on the fee. A round trip on 1000 BTCUSD lots from 100,000 to 101,000, taker both ways, costs $118.59 (₹10,080.15 at ₹85/$), turning a $1,000.00 gain into $881.41. Because fees follow notional, leverage multiplies them: on ₹10,000 of margin a taker round trip costs 1.18% of the margin at 10× and 11.80% at 100×.

How to calculate Delta Exchange brokerage charges

  1. 1. Pick the contract, side and size

Choose BTCUSD, ETHUSD or SOLUSD — or search every live Delta India perpetual — and Long or Short. Enter the size in lots, or switch to ₹ Margin and enter the rupees you will post and your leverage — the calculator works out the lots.

  2. 2. Enter entry and exit prices

Use USD prices as shown on Delta and pick Maker or Taker for each leg. Leave the exit empty to estimate the closing fee at the entry price.

  3. 3. Read the charges in rupees

The card shows the entry fee, exit fee and GST in ₹ and $, the charges as a share of your margin, the breakeven price and, with an exit price, the net profit or loss after fees.

Why brokerage looks high with leverage

Fees follow the position's value, not your margin. The same ₹10,000 of margin on BTCUSD at 100,000, taker in and out at the same price:

Profit and loss after fees

Long 1000 BTCUSD lots at 100,000, closed at 101,000, taker both ways: entry fee $50.00, exit fee $50.50, GST $18.09 — $118.59 (₹10,080.15) in total. The $1,000.00 price gain becomes $881.41 (₹74,919.85) after fees. This is case B2′ in our check against Delta's own fee calculator — see the methodology.

FAQ

How are Delta Exchange trading fees calculated?

Fee = lots × contract size × price × fee rate, charged on entry and again on exit. On Delta Exchange India the rate is 0.05% for taker orders and 0.02% for maker orders on BTCUSD, ETHUSD and SOLUSD, and 18% GST is added to each fee. Some other contracts charge less; the contract specifications page lists the rates for every contract.

Why is Delta Exchange brokerage so high with leverage?

Fees are charged on the full position value, not on your margin. With ₹10,000 of margin, a BTCUSD taker round trip costs ₹110.33 at 10× but ₹1,173.51 at 100× — 11.80% of the margin — because the position is ten times larger.

Does Delta Exchange charge GST on brokerage?

Yes. Delta Exchange India adds 18% GST on trading fees. A 0.05% taker fee costs 0.059% of notional once GST is included.

How do I calculate profit after fees on Delta Exchange?

Net profit = price move × lots × contract size − entry fee − exit fee − GST. In the example above, 1000 BTCUSD lots from 100,000 to 101,000 make $1,000.00 before fees and $881.41 (₹74,919.85) after them.

What is the breakeven price after fees?

The exit price at which the net result is zero once both fees and GST are paid. For a BTCUSD long entered at 100,000 with taker orders both ways it is about 100,118.1. Delta's own calculator divides the fees by the position size at your chosen exit price, so its "points to breakeven" can differ from the exact price by a few cents.

Does this include the Scalper Offer, funding or slippage?

No. Promotional discounts such as the Scalper Offer (which waives the closing fee on some trades), funding payments, slippage and the settlement fee are not included, so real charges can be lower or higher.
